Welcoming Fashion Capsule — In A Candid Conversation With Mallika Jain

Please tell us something about yourself and your brand Fapsule?

Many moons ago, there was a vision, that came to a princess in a dream. The dream was grand; there were beautiful groups of enthusiastic people, elegant and stylish clothes and pleasing fashionable personalities and plenty of exchanges. Next day, as she sat with her friend in a café, talking about this and that, here and there, whose and who, she remembered the dream which slowly turned into a passion, a drive, a vision to create something big. And that is how, Fashion Capsule was born to a princess named Mallika.

Mallika Jain, Proprietor  of Fashion Capsule – a Fashion and Lifestyle shopping exhibition brand,is a New Delhi-based one-day gala shopping experience which aims to bring together multiple fashion, lifestyle, creative and boutique brands under one roof for our very elite shoppers. Being a mother to two grown up boys and being a founder of one of most luxury exhibition- how you manage your personal And professional life?

Proudly to say being a mother of two amazing boys Rishabh and Chaitanya aged 19 and 17 is my biggest gift God could have given to me.  They are my Pride and my Pillar of strength.

Focus on important rather than urgent tasks – urgent tasks are reactive-based, important tasks are proactive-based.

Basically, at the end of the day you need to be able to be realistic about what needs to be done first.

With retail booming in india, do you feel people prefer shopping from exhibitions?

Inspire of retail booming in india, people still and will always shop from exhibitions as exhibitions are a one stop shop showcasing the best of established and emerging designers from all fields of fashion under one roof. Exhibitions are seasonal and theme based so it’s the best place to shop for that particular Indian dress you want to wear for a Diwali party or if you are looking for say a piece of jewelery from a mumbai stall holder who otherwise has no presence in delhi. You get designers from all across india who showcase their collections at exhibitions. This you cannot find in a mall or a high street.

How is the day before and day of the exhibition to you? Do you still feel pressure?

The day before the exhibition is always stressful but fun.

It’s the setup day so we all get busy with that and with social media promotions etc .

The day after the exhibition is like a breathe of fresh air and all smiles of satisfaction, after a successful exhibition.

Any advice to women entrepreneurs?

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, Live the life you have  imagined.” – Henry David Thoreau

Love who you are, embrace who you are. Love yourself. When you love yourself, people can kind of pick up on that: they can see confidence, they can see self-esteem, and naturally, people gravitate towards you.
It’s really important to talk to yourself and look at yourself in the mirror and love who you are. And its important to remember that we all have magic inside us.

I inspire others by living my life as an example. This doesn’t mean I try to be perfect, but what it does mean is that I want others to see the possibilities of being a successful young woman. I offer fashion tips and suggestions to women when asked without any hesitation as we together can grow so why not help other women too in their growth or help them stay stylish and happy. Also I would like to add, I would give to women walking the path of empowerment would be to believe that you can achieve all your dreams and goals.

Success starts in your mind. If you can’t see yourself achieving a lot, then it can never happen. You are your biggest cheerleader, so start with saying something positive about you and your day. Write an affirmation about your future and get training or material on your desired field or business. This will help you stay motivated to succeed! So go ahead ladies, Rise n Shine !!
