No Bake Oreo Cheesecake Recipe Ft Mooz Formaggio

With winters approaching, and approaching fast, a little comfort food is what most of us crave for. And although the rustic charm of Gajjak, Patti and Roasted Peanuts seems unbeatable; a plate of gooey cheesecake on a sultry November evening sounds all the more intriguing to me. But as much as Cheesecake might attract me, I am one unlucky baker. The Microwave Oven hates me, which lead me to create this convenient no bake cheesecake flooded with cream cheese, mascarpone, and oreos. Bliss! So without dragging it further, lets get straight to the recipe, shall we?

Preparation Time

1-1.5 hours

Chilling Time

5-7 Hours. For best results, chill overnight.

What Will You Require?

For the Crust:

4 packs of oreo cream sandwiches

30 grams of unsalted butter, melted

For the cream cheese filling:

1 pack Mooz Formaggio Cream Cheese

1 pack Mooz Formaggio Mascarpone

1 pack Amul Whipping Cream

2 cups Powdered Sugar

3 tablespoons Vanilla essence

1 pack Oreo Cream Sandwich Cookies

2 tablespoons gelatin

So this recipe might look a little time consuming and tricky on the first read, but trust me, if you follow the recipe step by step it is the easiest cheesecake recipe you’ll ever witness. And to make it all the more easy, I have broken down the recipe in two steps, the crust and the cream cheese filling.

For the crust:

  • In a food processor, crush the oreos into a coarse powdery texture.
  • Now transfer the crushed biscuits into a bowl and add some of the powdered sugar and a pinch of salt to it. Mix well.
  • To the dry biscuit mixture, add in the melted unsalted butter and mix it in to make a coarse crumbly texture. It should look like wet sand at this stage.
  • Once the mixture is ready, transfer it in a 10” spring form pan and press it securely against the base of the pan.
Transfer the pan to the freezer and let the crust set for a good 2 hours.

For the cream cheese filling:

  • The first thing to keep in mind that your cream cheese and mascarpone should be soft. Take them out of the fridge atleast an hour before you are to use them, as it is easier to whip.
  • In a large bowl, take the Amul Whipping cream (make sure it is super cold) and with a whisk, whip the cream till soft peaks start forming.
  • Pro Tip: You could keep the utensils (the bowl and the whisk) in the refrigerator for an hour before using it. It cuts down the whipping time to half.
  • Add powdered sugar to this whipped cream and set it aside.
  • Now in a different mixing bowl, add in your cream cheese and mascarpone. Smoothen it out, and as the cheeses are already soft it hardly takes 10 minutes to fold all of it together.
  • Now add vanilla essence to the cream cheese mixture and incorporate it fully.
  • In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of gelatin with 2 tablespoons of water, mix and add to the cream cheese mixture. As we are not baking this cake, the gelatin is what will hold its texture.
  • Combine the cream cheese and the whipped cream together and give it a good swirl to make it one.
  • Now if you want to decorate the cake just the way how I did it, keep apart a small cup of the filling aside.
  • To the rest of the cheesecake filling add one pack of chopped or crushed oreos (as per your choice) and mix it well.
  • Add this cheesy oreo filling to the already set oreo crumb base, smoothen out the edges and put it in the freezer to set overnight for best results. But if you have to serve it real quick, 5-7 hours would also do.
  • Once the cake looks set, take it out of the freezer, de-pan it and now is the time for decorating it.
  • In a piping bag, take the cheese filling which we had set aside in the beginning.
  • Start making cheesy swirls all over the cake, as little or as much as you like. Get creative with it.
  • Serve the cake chilled.

Try and serve one slice at a time and save the rest for yourself, because i promise you are going to love each and very bite of it. Though it takes almost a day to set completely, but this recipe here is perhaps the easiest recipe I have ever made for a cheesecake. So when are you trying it out?

P.S Mooz Formaggio cheese samples were sent to me for review purposes. This is not a sponsored post, the cheese were of a really fine quality hence a special mention in the blog post. You can always substitute the brands with what is readily available to you.
