Hey sweeties!

As some of you might have guessed by now, I have a thing for new makeup launches and I just feel it necessary to get the swatches of the entire new collecton just to devour and also to make it easy for you guys to choose which colours do you want from the collection.

So recently Revlon launched its new HD Ultra Mat Lip Colour range with 8 shades ranging from nudes, pinks and reds in india. These lip colours are already launched in the west since quite some time, and the reviews I had read about these babies were not too promising. But I am astrong believer of seeing the product for mylsef before passing judgements over the same, and so here I am with all the shades and swatches of the new Revlon HD Ultra Matte Lip Colour for you sweethearts!

Price: INR 1195 (which if you ask me is a complete downer, like 1200 bucks for a drugstore lip gloss is so not cool!)

HD Seduction

HD Seduction is the only brown nude shade with pink undertones in it. This is the most gorgeous and such a ME kind of nude shade which will flatter only fair to medium skin tones and might not suit duskier beauties. I can see this shade working as the perfect nude brown shade for indian skin tones when paired with a sultry smokey eye or a heavy kohl.

HD Devotion

HD Devotion is a very subtle nude pink shade with warm undertones making it the perfect choice for almost all Indian skin tones. Very dark skinned beauties may looks washed out by this shade but other than that it will work with a vast array of skin tones. I found this shade pretty universal and got it for myself as well.

HD Flirtation

HD Flirtation is the perfect coral-ly peachy toned lipstick and it definitely speaks summer to me. Though it is a beautiful coral shade, it looks a bit pale and would not work well with dark skinned beauties. It might make you look garish or ashy and is definitely a tricky colour to pull off.

HD Addiction

HD Addiction is a really pretty fall-winter shade. It is a deep berry shade with vivid hints of plums and mauves in it. It is a deep yet subtle shade and will look very sophisticated when worn with minimal eye makeup and heavy lashes. Although I personally do not like berry shades for my age, I surely fell in love with this one and would love to give berry lipsticks a shot now.

HD Obsession

HD Obsession is a bright fuchsia lip colour which has very vivid cool undertones to it. It is one of the unique shades from the range and will complement indian skin tones well. Being a cool toned lipstick it will also make your teeth look whiter so if you are someone who feels fuchsia’s tend to make yopur teeth look yellow, you should definitely give this shade a try.

HD Temptation

HD Temptation will be perhaps the least popular shade from the range. it is a pale pink which looks rather milky, has cool undertones and is low on pigmentation. Very fair skinned girls can totally rock this colour but if you are even a little over NC 30 this shade will definitely wash you out.

HD Love

HD Love is your perfect orange based red which looks very vibrant and has strong yellow undertones to suit Indian skin perfectly. The shade is a bright orangey-red and a bright one at that. Shades like these need confidence, and if you have an ounce of that you can rock this bold yet bright shade beautifully.

HD Passion

HD Passion is a deep burgundy maroonish red which leans a bit towards 2015 pantone colour marsala. It is not exactly an ox-blood red but is a very deep burgundy sort of red which looks very vampy to me and will suit fair to dusky skin tones alike. HD passion will look much more flattering on duskier skin tones as it has very strong yellow undertones which will make the colour pop on duskier beauties.

Honestly, none of these settle into a pure matte, or even a demi matte finish. Rather all of these remain velvety and smudge easily. So which of the shades did you like the most?
