The Curvy Indian Wedding Look Book Ft. AMYDUS

Hello, curvies!

you have no idea how badly I have missed talking to each one of you. With my personal setbacks and my Mphil semester exams, I know I have been unable to put out any new content and I wholeheartedly apologize for being MIA. But fret not guys, because I have ton loads of new content which I’ll be putting out this month for you to see and enjoy. But as always, my long overdue writer’s block is being done away by a post featuring my forever favorite clothing brand AMYDUS.

The wedding season is in full swing here in India and being a Punjabi Sikh woman, I am supposed to be present at a lot of morning wedding events. There are a lot of inspiration posts talking about how to glam up for family functions and night time wedding events. I’ll do something different and create a look which caters to how you curvy beauties can dress up for a friend’s wedding or a Punjabi/Sikh daytime marriage event.

Night time events call for high glam outfits while day time events can be a little more subtle. But that does not mean that it should lack in colour and vividness. Daytime weddings, especially in the winter season, is the best occasion to flaunt all the bright outfits you have without looking too over the board. And red, undoubtedly is one of the best colours to wear for weddings. It just screams happiness and festivity, and in this look I have created a monochrome red look which is super easy to replicate and carry off in real life as well.

Being excited about this Indian Wedding Guest Look Is an understatement! I am beyond jubilated to share this look with you as it is very close to my heart! 😍 I am a red lover and cannot stop myself from wearing bright reds no matter what people think about it!

Society told me to wear darker colors to slim down my “curvy body” and honestly, I paid them undue attention for way too long! But now, I dress for myself and not for the society and this is the look I created using my @amydus Red kurta and a bandhini dupatta!

Being a Sikh woman, I attend a lot of daytime weddings and this fun, jeweled up look is so fun and perfect for day weddings! I honestly cannot get enough of this super slim fitting bright red festive kurta from the house of @amydus 😍

I love kurtas from Amydus for their fit, fabric, and affordability. however, this red kurta from Amydus beats even the best of Amydus’ quality when it comes to the richness of the fabric and the intricate golden designing on the yolk. This kurta is apt for the subtle wedding guest look which can be jazzed up with a heavy dupatta and lots of ethnic jewelry. For a slimmer look, here I have paired the kurta with red palazzo pants, a sleek kundan maang teeka, chunky gold and red kundan earrings, some traditional bangles, phulkari jutti and a pair of chunky sunglasses to go with the day (read sunshine) theme of the event. Also, the sunglasses and maangteeka look oh so chic when paired together.

Such a happy color, rich feeling fabric and that golden detailing on the yolk🔥
I am in looouveee ❤️
