My Experience With Vanity Cube Beauty Services

Hey, everyone!

Today I am going to talk about my recent experience with a service called Vanity Cube which delivers on-demand salon services at your doorstep. I was recently contacted by them to try out their service and the idea really appealed to me since it’s such a convenient service!

I opted to try out a manicure-pedicure with a hair spa. Currently, you can book your service via either a phone call or by contacting them through the Vanity Cube website. Their app is going to launch in a couple of months which will make the booking process more seamless. The details of the aesthetician are shared with you prior to your appointment. I was informed that Jyoti would be visiting me for my requested service a few hours before my appointment.

What makes Vanity Cube special?

In the unlikely event that your plans change and you wish to cancel your booking you can very conveniently cancel, but make sure to cancel at least 4 hours prior to your booking. Also, If you would like to amend your booking, you can do so by calling the team on 8010 8010 91.

What I Liked About the Services:

1. Doorstep services are convenient. You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home to experience a beauty service of your choice. It saves you the time and effort that goes into commuting and if you have a special event coming up, you can just call the aesthetician over to your place to help you glam up!

2. The service menu is fairly extensive! You can get hair cuts, blow dry, hair spa, manicures, pedicures, gel/acrylic nails, massages, facials, clean up, waxing, threading/bleach and makeup done. The myglamm personnel bring all the tools and products needed for the service.

3. The beauty assistant was not unnecessarily chatty and let me be on my own which is what I loved the most. Beauty services to me mean some relaxing me time and if the assistant talks incessantly it just kills the vibe for me.

4. Hygiene was taken good care of. From the mani-pedi to the the hair spa, all tools were sanitised with each use and gloves were used when required. Although had they provided fresh towels or disposable sheets, it would have been a cherry on the cake.

What I did not like about the Services:

1. The website doesn’t feature the full menu with pricing at this point. I was sent the menu by the PR person helping me with the appointment but it would be helpful to have that up on the site as well. The pricing is slightly higher than an average neighborhood salon (but lower than big chain salons) but since its doorstep service, I think its okay.

2. The aesthetician was a few hours late in arriving at my place and she did not apologize for the delay. I had been ready and waiting for her so it rubbed me the wrong way that she turned up late and didn’t say a word about it.

3. I would not really recommend their hair spa services, because neither did they inform me about the fact that hair rinse or hair wash wasn’t a part of their services, and the spa ended up in 20 minutes flat which was a bummer. The spa started with me washing my hair in my washroom, followed by the L’oreal hair spa cream application. The cream was allowed to sit in for hardly 7-10 minutes before the aesthetician became sort of impatient and asked me to rinse it off. Rinsing was okay, but generally, the spa cream application is followed by a good relaxing head and shoulder massage which did not happen. Also, she did not have a mini steamer of sorts and just wrapped my head in a hot towel which was so unprofessional. After the 3-minute steam session, she said that it was done. Yes, no blow dry after the hair spa. Spending bucks on their hair spa is a waste if you ask me.

Overall, I had a good experience with the Vanity Cube service though a little improvement here and there would really help in making the whole experience better. The concept of doorstep service makes it very convenient and while neighborhood hood salons do offer some home services, this is more structured, convenient and centralised. The service menu covers everything basic and some more at reasonable pricing which is excellent!
