The California Boulevard — Delhi’s Best Destination For Celebrations

TCB 1

I have always wanted to dine in at a Hollywood style bistro and when such wishes are fulfilled during food events, I thank my decision to start blogging in the first place! So on the occasion of father’s day, me and my parents were hosted for a lunch at the California Boulevard which is located in Rajouri Garden, just minutes away from the Rajouri Garden Metro Station! The restro-bar is a two storey lavish affair with dimmer lighting on the first floor and more open themed, well-lit space on the second floor!

The Saga Of Lickable Shakes Ft Cafe AM PM

IMG_20170609_012308

Residing in Delhi, if you haven’t visited this gem of a place, then you haven’t seen anything at all. Dim lighting, tastefully done interiors, and comfortable, warm seating space is how I visulaise the perfect cafe and AM Pm is just that and much more. On a recent visit to the cafeteria, (being a big group), I was lucky enough to taste a LOT from their menu and now I feel worthy enough to review this place finally.

Alright, now this place has some classics, namely their lickable shakes, their westernised fusion food dishes and a few of their cocktails and it is only when you taste them for real that you know the reason behind them being such classics. To start off with we ordered a Kitty Katty shake and a Don’s lust shake.
Kitty Katty as the name suggests is your perfect kit kat shake–thick, slurpy, cold, rich, creamy, laden with whipped cream, chunks of kitkat and oodles of gems. Heavenly indeed!

The don’s lust shake is the one which comes with a donut and ferrero rocher coating on the top and as heavenly as the chocolate shake is, the only drawback is their donut which wasnt fresh and was a bit too chewy.

For cocktails we ordered their The Casanova which is specially curarted by Yangdup Lama and is indeed a mixology heaven. The perfect blend of vodka, cranberry, lime and triple sec. Way more potent than it looks like. Though the pink candy floss and the way it is presented wins the hearts.

In food we ordered chicken seekh cheese toasts, pepperoni pizza, butter chicken sliders, chicken nachos, fish fingers, dimsums and risotto and none of them disappointed us. All of expempelary quality.

To the main attraction, the deserts! We ended up ordering Molten Nutella Open Lava and Chocolate Bomb and man oh man, were they astounding. You need to try these two if you are even remotely a chocolate desert fan.

A must visit!
